Infrared help

I had a good weekend on the 10th/11th June I went to a Sculpture Park which is in a wooded area, many pine trees unfortunately, very contrasty light, and made a small number of IR images. But afterwards stopped at a mill in Surrey that has been very successfully turned into a pub. I consider this to be one of my better efforts.
Decided that I can get good pictures from my choice of camera, but it is very dependent on quality of light, type of scene and correct exposure. Correct exposure and framing are a bit problematical because of the way things work.

Infrared help

I have just changed my infrared camera. Sold the Sigma and bought a Panasonic GX7 body already converted to IR with a 830Nm filter. I hope that it will bring better performance and be less awkward and less subject dependent. Haven't decided on a lens yet but will try it out with my two remaining Sigma lenses with an adapter.

Many older PK lenses should work fairly well with an adapter too - the newer models are more of a pain due to the lack of an aperture ring. You can get DA adapters that allow some control of the aperture via the lenses rear levers but it's not a great solution.

Thank you for the reply. A Panasonic 14-45 lens arrived today. Tried it out locally but the weather was very dull and there is not much foliage. The camera is wonderful to use, I can see my subject, auto focus and auto exposure if I want. Not used to the controls yet.

I have kept back a Sigma SA fit 24mm f 1.8 lens and have sent off for a cheap manual adapter, but the lens is heavier than the camera body!
