Hi, I have had my K 3II for about 6 months now and looking to buy a flash unit. A few weeks ago I borrowed a Yongnuo flash and found it didn't fit on the hotshoe. This was down to space, the flash body hits the GPS housing on top of the camera. We ended up using a wireless camera flash with a pass through hotshoe. Just curious to what other people are using on their K3II as aftermarket flash guns. I can then look at building a small setup in the future by buying wisely and being able to add to it over time. Many thanks.
I use a Pentax AF201FG with my K-3II, which does all I need. Versatile, as it tilts so that ceiling bounce works - but it doesn't swivel or trigger wirelessly. It is weather-resistant though, and very light and pocketable. It really depends on the degree of versatility you're looking for.
K-3II - HD DA20-40 Limited, HD DA55-300PLM, SMC DA10-17 Fishy, AF201FG Flashy
Thanks for the reply, just looking to see what other people are using, either aftermarket or Pentax brand. Initially after just one and the 201 or maybe it's bigger brother would do. But also looking at the possibility of going off camera with remote in the future. Just need to get my head round what is compatible with what. Thanks.

You and me both Microlight! I don't use flash often, but for my needs the compact AF201FG WR is all I need.
For studio work or wireless flash, I'm sure others will be able to give good advice.
Thanks for the replies, still trawling the net and reading reviews. Maybe buy the 201 for on camera use and look at an aftermarket setup later for off camera use.
