8 Day trip to New York --- weather was GROTTY for 3 days and I caught pneumonia in the cold and rain ! Hospital stay all night ! Spoilt my Birthday celebration - also, Pentax ME Super let me down on a lot of pics with under-exposure. I used the same batch of 01/2008 Konica VX 400 Super rated 200 ASA that had given very good results with my Minolta gear. LENS was : SMC Pentax-A Zoom 28-80mm f3.5-4.5

A shame about the pneumonia Pete. What bad luck. Thanks for sharing your pictures though and keeping up the film photography. Always a pleasure to look through.
When I went to NY, also huge queues to enter the Empire State Building and security check. The woman who checked me in said that my K10 was a "nice camera", made my day!
I'm heading to NY next week - you've provided some inspiration - thanks for the photos. I just need to decide on my walk around lens choice - likely be the DA* 16-50 with M50/1.4 for nighttime.

I hope you enjoyed it, apart from the cold, rain and pneumonia. Rather like the grotty weather from the circle line shot. Must process some of mine from February when I was hoping for grotty weather and got the warmest few February days since 1970 - it was too hot and sunny!
Ha ha !! I have a 'Grotty Shot' of Statue of Liberty in both Colour and B&W which i though not worth showing -- on last day I was still 'Groggy' from Illness so Wife and Kids went to Statue and Ellis Island trip early morning while I stayed in Hotel Room looking longingly out at the SUNSHINE and HOT Weather !! Now back in England, backs of my legs in the muscles hurt and I have slowed right down -- must be getting'OLD' now I'm 80 ------

You should go watch "Going in Style" at the cinema Pete. Although I don't want to encourage you to start robbing banks, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine can give you some ideas for the next decade Fun film to keep the average octogenarian lively.
Good to cya Pete. Hope you're recovering from that nasty attack of pneumonia.
Very interesting set of pics, not least becuase of the combination of modern street scenes with grainy film. New York is a fascinating place, and most of those pics contains enough material to each have it's own political thread a 100 pages long. I've only been there once and that was driving through it at breakneck speed in order catch plane from JFK airport, which we managed with 3 minutes to spare.
That aside, certainly a place that's a street shooters dream.
