That's about my only drawcard to this also.

Standard Pentax review goes like this:

IQ is always good from Pentax.
Exposure is usually less than the other brands, preserving the highlights, but giving a duller/lifeless/less contrasty image than other brands, out of the box, in JPEG mode.
Pentax look to have opted to do no tracking focus at all, rather than do it badly.

Pentax is good value for money.
Pentax has few lenses.
Pentax video is sht.
Overall Pentax offers a solid proposition, and usually better package than the competition here.
Buy Canon.

Ok watched it. He does make good points, but he's still annoying and looks like an android. :)

I do especiallyagree with his points about better net connectivity.

So what do you suggest, Smeggy? DSLR with a SIM card?
I'd not like that at all.
If people want to shoot to share on Hipstergram/Farcebook and like, use a smart phone. IQ is good enough for social network posting.
I have zero use for WiFi in a camera with the possible exception of remote operation with live view.
NFC in a DSLR seems ridiculous really.

I know what you mean about TN looking like an android. He's a little creepy with his manner of speech as well.

Spot on Steve. Saves me reading another review! I'd add "nicely constructed" to the list of positives. They've all being saying this for years. Are they right or is it lazy journalism?

SIM card does seem a natural progression to me.

Nfc is to quickly establish the wifi network.

Doubt I'd use though

He's so smooth and unctuous he almost glides along. Lovely wife though (aren't women an odd lot: what does she she in him?) He's got plastic skin and is probably loaded... Oh, that's what she sees in him.

I've learned a new word: "unctuous" - :thumb: - sums him up :)

"Chelsea" is fit in a strange kind of way, but she is very cardboard her self

Every day a school day, Smeggy.

I think Chelsea has sort of become like him through association. My Z3 looks a bit odd from some angles, as does a Daimler Dart, but I still like them... if you know what I mean.

I'm never an early adopter so I'll wait until the price comes down and perhaps the release of a more traditional black version (pink is sooo last decade) :hmmm:

It is easy to see that the main point of this exciting new product is its almost universal mount. However, for anyone who might be concerned about its sharpness, there is a wide range of inexpensive adapters readily available, e.g. link

Cheers.

Just watched it. :thumb: :thumb:

well that's certainly blown the K-1 out of the water! I hope it's weather sealed.

I also quite fancy the "Sigma Mirrorress"

I love Pentax cameras but I find their digital SLR cameras to be a hit and miss thing with regards to focus issues, i've had two Pentax cameras now both the K30 and now the K70 and both had focusing issues and had to be repaired. I've had two Nikon cameras as well the D3100 and D5100, i've had three Olympus cameras the E500, E520 and E620 and none of those cameras had focusing issues. But i've also heard from a few other people too that Pentax digital SLR cameras have a bad reputation for focusing problems. So overally i'd say Pentax make excellent cameras but they really need to get off their backsides and get these focus issues a thing of the past, i'm sending my K70 back to the shop to be looked at and repaired or possibly exchanged for a Canon Eos 750D and will leave Pentax alone from now on. We'll see if Pentax get off their backsides and help me out, if they don't it's goodbye Pentax.
