K-5 shutter count

I'm under no illusion that my K-5 has a high shutter count at 31,203 but wondered how many shots others have got out of their cameras.
Oddly my K-5 has always hesitated after 2 shots on Continuous Low speed. On High speed it just hops into the task until it hits the buffer.

K-5 shutter count

I wouldn't say 31,203 is high at all

K-5 shutter count

My K7, 5 years and 3 months of use, is at approx 65,000 clicks, going strong. Cue suggestions to upgrade now ..... I've heard that later models might offer a slight improvement in IQ ....not sure, is that something that's important....? :)

Which is why I deliberately didn't claim a high count. What is curious is the strange behaviour of the shutter when my K-5 is set at Continuous Low speed.

K-5 shutter count

My K3 does something similar on occasion.
Although I kind of blame myself for potentially not holding the button down properly or something.

It is hard to explain, but 'hesitate' is a pretty good way of explaining it.
It takes a kind of slow motion picture.
It sounds as though the mirror is moving slowly or something.
