Hi My name is Tim and i am Yorkshire born and bred. I hail from Leeds and have been a photography nut for a number of years, in that time i have used mainly Canon but i did have a Pentax film camera many years ago which i remember fondly. I have recently decided to switch from Canon and couldn't decide between Nikon and Pentax, but felt drawn to Pentax for some reason. I decided to start off with the Pentax K-S2 which looks pretty good for a beginners camera, from what i have read can compete and even beat a lot of Canon's and Nikon's mid to high range dslrs. I am really looking forward to getting to grips with the K-S2 and am pretty sure i will be seeking advice from you knowledgeable Ladies and Gent's especially about Lenses and a half decent flash ( can't seem to find much on ebay in the flash department). Last but not least, thanks for allowing me to join the Forum.
Plenty of advice available here Tim - by choosing Pentax you've opened up a world of possibility in terms of lenses, you can choose from some superb current lenses right the way back to classics from the 1960's (with an adaptor) or a massive number of K, M, A, F and FA lenses from the 60's to the 00's. The flash system for Pentax may not be quite as advanced as some of the competition but it's more than adequate for most purposes.
