Mrs LTL will claim that I am sometimes grumpy for no reason but after watching Dragons Den, who can blame me for feeling a little on edge?
It is the production of the programme that winds me up. As viewers we are treated like idiots with an attention span measured in seconds. I realise that one motive of constantly telling us what is "coming up" and repeating things that have just been said, followed by a summary of has just been shown, is to reduce the costs of creating useful content, but really, is the average viewer so easily distracted and in need of being patronised?
I freely admit to losing track of a train of thought from time to time but there is no need for the BBC to feel that I need help to watch easy-going Sunday evening TV.
If you feel the need to add your grumps to this thread, then post away!
Now then, what was I doing?
Nigel.
Getting older and grumpier. Taking longer to decide which lens to use today.
K5 with auto-everything lenses A collection of manual primes to keep me in touch with the pleasures of doing it old-school.

As you say...they are avoiding any real content creation.
Don't pay it then. There's plenty of info on how not to.
£499 for a season ticket, a long 14 week wait for the season to start, and then 90 minutes of total and utter bollocks watching overpaid fairies who think they are still on their f#€^ing holiday.
When my wife drooped me of this afternoon at 1pm I had a smile so big you could see it from the moon, when she picked me up the 10 miles home was in total silence.
Just DON'T get me started on QPR. Why do those of us who support teams in stripes have to deal with so many crushing disappointments
Yep Stoke, Your ok as a QPR fan as know one is expecting much from you this season ,
But as a Stoke fan, to get beaten by a team that we always beat and being a sort of local derby ish, it hurts badly
And as for stripes, 1936, Sunderland FC the last team to win the top flight English league in stripes. Unless your in Scotland and then Celtic every year since Rangers were relegated.
[1] Supermarket muzak [2] Threads that turn into Footy discussions
I haven't watched broadcast TV for more than 20 years, I solved my suffering in that area
Quite agree on the muzak, would love to know if there is any science behind it, As it's not there for enjoyment.
And as for footy, I could change it to cricket to suit if you like, as my side Warwickshire are currently playing Somerset this weekend and don't get me started on our opening batsmen Chopra, lasted a whole 4 balls before being caught

And......Fail.. I cannot see any correlation between muzak and buying more groceries.
When awful music is playing I actually can't get out of there fast enough! See, when I listen to music it's for relaxation and enjoyment, not a shopping stimulant. But most of all dislike having other people's choice of music pushed into my ears just because I chose to shop at their supermarket. I honestly find is quite rude and a kind of violation.
Not much I can do about it, but there you have it.
Kids next door. And I'm talking 6-8 years olds. Why do they need to SHOUTand SCREAM!@#! when they play? It's such a jarring sound that has my nerves dancing no matter how I try to ignore it.
