HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR

A wealth of excellent images and our chance to vote for one on https://photographer.triphistoric.com/vote/#gallery-567

I voted for Matt Emmitt's 'Cell 1 - National Gas Turbine Establishment' which is a long way down. Matt has at least three photographs shortlisted there, and the competition is at a very high level but it would be nice for him if one of his scoops the award.

Only my personal opinion, but I was surprised how poor/dull the vast majority of these are.

Matt has a fully deserved vote from me. :thumb:

I agree up to a point, there are some that are not good at all, even technically fundamentally flawed, but setting these apart, competition for the best 20% (approx 100 photos) is at a high standard and Matt's photos are clearly in this category.

It will be interesting to compare how the professional judges rate winners with how the public do. I suspect that they will have little in common.
