I refer to my earlier statement:

Places are still available
Seriously though Matt, I'm obviously not aware of how much your recent trip cost you, but if you and Bill (or anyone else) wanted to have a week exploring the interior, that can be arranged. I'm aware that not everyone wants to see the South coast so a fully customised itinerary, or a 'lets make it up as we go along' option is easy to substitute for one of the weeks if the two clients are in agreement.
If enough people were interested we could even extend our stay and run a tour later in August. This year the Northern Lights were visible from the 13th onwards. Of course there's no guarantees and there would be less daylight.
Our trip was part paid for by Pentax so it worked out fairly inexpensive. I think almost £600 per person. I think to get value for money, Pentax may prefer we travel to locations new for the next trip. I have some ideas of places I would like to go.
Sorry I haven't updated this for a while, but TBH I've become a bit disillusioned with it all.
I spent £96 promoting this to a specifically targeted facebook audience across the UK and Ireland. Apparently 9296 people viewed my event advert, 93 people clicked 'Interested' and 3 people clicked 'Going'. Woohoo I thought, filling those remaining 9 places should be a doddle now.
Sadly, because of facebook's weird setup, I cannot directly message the 93 'interested' people! I have to laboriously send a message request to them from my personal, rather than business, page. This means they will have no clue who I am until they accept it.
Despite sending messages and posting on the event itself requesting contact, not a single person has sent me a message to confirm their interest. As I have stated I will only ask for funds once I have 10 confirmed interested parties and it's with those funds that I will book the ferry.
Ferry spaces are filling up (and increasing in price) and I can't progress.
I shall resend out messages in the new year and hope that it was just a timing issue.
New year, new month new start. The ferry is getting more expensive and so I have set a deadline of the end of Feb to get the 10 seats filled. So far Dr Orlof is the only taker, so I have now created a formal "registration page" sent the following message to everyone who clicked 'interested' on Facebook. "Hi. You indicated that you may be interested in joining us on our 7 Day 4x4 Iceland Photo Adventure later this year. I am now finalising the details. If you’re still interested please visit http://www.iceland4x4.capturelight.co.uk/register/ as soon as possible. Here you can identify your preference for dates and, once registered, I can keep you informed of developments. Thanks for the interest, Ralph" I shall now see whether this is actually going to happen or not.
