I recently went on a tour of the UK with three friends from our MC in Qatar, Wataweet. Great trip, a total of just over 1900 miles.

I shot the all the video I took at 2.4k, using a GoPro 5, but just found out that Windows Movie Maker won't save in higher resolution that 1k. Also, the titles at the end came out a bit choppy, in spite of replacing them twice. I will try and do the next video using Shotcut on Steve's recommendation. I've got 12 hours of video to play with....

DaVinciResolve is even better than ShotCut for large edits & especially good for colour grading. Like ShotCut there are loads of excellent tutorials on YouTube. Also you can create optimised (proxy) files for ease of editing in DaVinci. Straight out of GoPro's ect .mov and .mp4 are already compressed delivery formats which makes smooth editing a bit of a pain, though you can convert to edit friendly ProRes first using either ShotCut or EyeFrame (free) which helps a lot.
